Kitchen Table and Chairs

We recently moved into a new place.  I absolutely love having our own place together.  We have always had room mates since we have been married, and we have always been in the basement.  Well that is, until now.  Anyway, I will add pictures of our cute house eventually, but I wanted to post one of our recent projects.... Our Kitchen Table :)

Here is the before Picture....

During...  It was pretty tricky to get the first layer off.  It was some type of a vinyl/plastic... but as soon as we got all of that off it was solid wood.

After.... After we sanded it all down and washed it really good we painted it.  We used a Bombay Mahogany Glossy stain (we used Minwax- PolyShades, it is a stain & polyurethane in 1 step).  We used the stain for the tops of the chairs and the top of the table and a glossy black for the legs of the chairs and table (we used Krylon Fusion Spray Paint - it gave it a high glossy finish).

We love the finished product!!!  What do you think?
