The newest little Groll!

Aleya Lee Groll was born on July 10, 2013 at 7:25 pm.  She was 6 pounds 3 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long!!  We have been blessed with a perfect little angel, we are so in love with her!
I was induced with pitocin at about 11 AM on Wednesday the 10th.  I wasn't dilated at all, but I was completely effaced.  I slowly dilated to a 2 and my doctor broke my water.  An hour later I was dilated to a 3.  I had plans to have a medication free birth- all natural, but the pitocin was kicking my butt!!!  So, finally after 5 hours of pitocin I decided to give in and get the epidural.  I guess that's exactly what my body needed because 1 1/2 hours later I was a 6 and an hour after that I was a 10!!!  The epidural helped me relax, thank goodness for that!  At 7:25 PM and after about 4 contractions of pushing little Aleya was here!!  It was the most amazing experience I have ever had, and it was one of the happiest moments of mine and Aaron's life.  I still can't believe that this little beauty is ours.  We are truly blessed.
She has long skinny arms and legs, her momma's lips and her daddy's forehead :)
She only fits into a few outfits because she is so tiny, newborn diapers are just barely starting to fit her now.  I can't believe that she is already 3 weeks old today!!

Anyway... mom and baby are doing great, and last night I got a total of 6 hours of sleep- it was bliss!! (She wakes every 3-4 hours still). When I get exhausted and frustrated I just look at her and realize how happy  and lucky I am, and then everything is all okay ;)
I am slowly starting to get used to being a mommy, and it's the most rewarding and fun I have ever had!
More pictures to come... Seriously, we already have millions of pictures of her!!  We are switching internet providers today so we won't have internet until Friday.

39+ weeks!!!

I had my 39 week check-up today and I was effaced 70%, but still not dilated at all!!!  My doctor has been worried because I'm measuring small.  A couple of weeks ago they measured her fluids and everything looked fine, but my belly measured even smaller than last week.  He said that if I don't have her by my due date then he wants to schedule an induction because he is worried that she might be running out of nutrients and that's why she is measuring smaller.  I am hoping that I have her before then because I want to have a natural labor.  HURRY UP ALEYA!!  Maybe she will be a 4th of July baby?!  We will see... she's the only one that really knows;)

5 days until my due date!!!!

Baby Groll

I am getting so anxious for this little munchkin to come into the world!  I am almost 36 weeks today!!!  We decided on the name Aleya Lee Groll.  She is such an active little girl, and I think I am going to miss feeling her squirm and kick inside me!  I think that she is getting anxious and ready to come out too!  I've been working on so many projects for her lately.  I am going stir crazy right now and keeping busy is the only thing keeping me sane.
Here are a few of the projects I have done.  These are some wall hangings in her room.

Here are a few of my favorite onesies that I appliqued on.  I made so many!!! Here are a few of my favorites.

This is a fun little crayon art that I made for her room...

I made some onesies, mittens, and caps for my friend that had a boy.

Car Seat Cover

I have been trying to figure out how to make a cover for Aleya's car seat but everything I have found was way too complicated and I wanted one that I can take off and wash.  I also made a canopy/blanket cover to match and I think that they turned out pretty good.
This is the before picture....

This is the after picture....
It fits right over the original car seat cover.  I made it out of minky fabric because I want Aleya to be nice and comfy and it's such a snuggley material, I just love it!

The car seat that we got came with a jogging stroller,  and I love it!!!! I am so excited to go jogging with Aleya this summer:)

Memorial Day Weekend & My Baby Sister's Graduation

We got to visit the Cemetery over Memorial Day weekend in Utah so I got to visit all of my loved one's graves.  I didn't get a picture of all of the Grave Stones, but I got some of them.
First, is my little brother's.  I can't believe that he would be 20 years old this year!
We love you Michael!
The next pictures are of my Grandpa Larsen's and Aunt Katherine's grave cites, but Katherine doesn't have a grave stone yet.  We love you and miss you Grandpa and Katherine!

My baby sister graduated high school last week, and I am so glad that we were able to be there for her!  The first picture is super blurry!!!
Here's a picture of Linda, Grandpa Tingey, Mom, Steve, Me, Alicia, and Great Grandma Hales.

Diaper Bag

One of my most recent projects:)
I had a bunch of fabric left over from making Aleya's bedroom stuff so I made a diaper bag with the scraps.  It is a Kati Cupcake pattern.

Here is a view of the inside:)

Bun in the Oven

Well... It has been a while since I have been on here and I think that I should share the news...?!

Yep, there is a little baby Groll on the way, and it's a GIRL!!!  We are so so excited!  I am 23 weeks today, and am just starting to really show now.  I have been taking pictures of my belly each week, but it hasn't been changing much until now.  My DR says that it is because I am tall and fit, but I can feel little Aleya trying to tear my abs apart... well whats left of them.  We are trying to decide on her middle name now.  It is between Michelle, Lynn, and Lee.  What do you guys think?

Here are some of the 3D ones that we got of her....
Aleya's cute little frog legs

Look at that little face... I can't wait to meet her!
